HFCR is a member of the Cristo Rey Network, comprised of 40 Catholic, college- and career-preparatory schools that today serve more than 12,350 students across 24 states and collectively claim 31,120 graduates. The Cristo Rey Network delivers a powerful and innovative approach to inner-city education that equips students from families of limited economic means with the knowledge, character, and skills to transform their lives.
Located in the Titusville community of Birmingham, Alabama, Holy Family Cristo Rey (HFCR) is an independent, Catholic school committed to providing students with a college preparatory education and real-world work experience through the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP).

Through our Digital Fluency Initiative, every HFCR scholar receives a Chromebook, on which they complete a majority of their schoolwork, and which is theirs to keep after graduation.
Scholars build lasting relationships with mentors and coworkers at their Corporate Work Study Program job placements, helping them build a network of professional contacts for their future careers.
Small class sizes and protected study and counseling time ensure that scholars receive individualized support from their teachers, college counselor, and school social worker.
In the workplace, scholars gain invaluable experience typically unavailable to high school students, in fields like medicine, law, finance, and more.
